COME APK: identify your download stage

A COME APK download has four checkpoints: opening the app page, saving a file, completing Android installation and opening the installed app.

Check what actually finished

A loaded web page confirms that the browser reached a destination. A completed item in Downloads confirms a transfer. Android must separately report that installation finished. Finally, opening the installed app checks that you can reach its first screen. Record the last completed checkpoint before troubleshooting.

Resume from that checkpoint

If only the page opened, inspect its current download options. If the file finished, open that saved item instead of requesting another copy. If Android finished, find the app in the device app list. A sign-in screen means the problem has moved beyond file transfer.

Keep a simple record

For example, “file saved; Android displayed an error” is more useful than “download failed”. Note the error text and file source without including a password or verification code. Do not uninstall a working copy merely to restart the process.

A useful next step

Use the download page for the complete sequence, then return to the checkpoint that has not yet succeeded.
